Immortality

Given the choice at immortality, I am not sure if I would choose to have it. Although sickness would never kill and you would have all the time in the world that would not necessarily be a good thing. It would be fun for a while, knowing death would not come to get you, but would life get boring and dull?

I would choose immortality for a few reasons. I would be able to risk everything and try dare-devil activities because I wouldn't get hurt. You could always be with loved ones, if they are immortal, and if not, they wouldn't mourn after you, but you after them. Living the lifestyle of a Greek god would be fun, and you would be able to put upon the mortals whatever you wish. In addition, you would have the time to achieve whatever you wanted to, since you wouldn't have to worry about progression.

On the contrary, immortality would have a down-side. Maybe what makes risky activities fun, is that there is a chance of everything not going well. The adrenaline from this possibility, keeps on making you want to continue. Also, you would never be stressed out, so nothing would get completed. Stress makes you complete your tasks and allows you to move on. You becoming immortal, would not mean your friends and family would be able to with you. That would almost make you on two different levels. In addition, people you weren't really acquaintances with would try to become your friend just because you are immortal.
